Mill Creek High School. 6'0, 185, Safety.
Downs' superior work ethic and dedication to film study separate him from others on Friday nights. He showcases an advanced style of play alongside good instincts and a nose for the ball. The safety is a game-changing recruit that projects as one of the most college-ready players in the nation. Downs is the consensus top player in Georgia heading into the fall and a must-watch athlete on a talented Mill Creek defensive unit.
Warner Robins High School. 6'5, 276, DL.
I've had the pleasure of watching Burley in person since his sophomore season with the Demons. He is freakishly athletic and stands out due to his massive frame. In one word, I'd describe him as a "nightmare" for opposing lineman. Burley is insanely disruptive and one of Central Georgia's most dominant defensive recruits in recent memory.
Langston Hughes High School. 6'7, 290 lbs, OT. UGA commit.
Bo Hughley is a BEAST at tackle on one of the most talented teams in the southeast. He's very physical and uses his hands well to 'stack up pancakes' in both the pass and run game. The punishing blocker gives Georgia fans another in-state commit to be excited about.
Buford High School. 5'10, 200 lbs, RB. Transfer from Blessed Trinity Catholic (Atlanta).
It's no secret that the Buford program has established itself as a premier organization in Georgia, capturing 10 state titles since 2005 and three in a row under current Head Coach, Bryant Appling. However, the Wolves did not have a player on this list until Haynes announced his intentions to transfer into the program in May.
Justice Haynes is a UGA legacy (son of Verron) with advanced field vision. He's an explosive runner that is nearly impossible to take down in the open field. The senior is a big play waiting to happen. The opening play on his junior season highlight reel is a 95-yard touchdown dash where he weaved his way through an entire opposing defense. He will have the opportunity to display his skill in some of the biggest matchups in the southeast, including Buford's opening game against Alabama superpower Thompson High School at home.
Brookwood High School. 6'2, 215 lbs, QB.
Dylan Lonergan is the top quarterback in the state heading into the fall. He displays the ability to make 'touch passes' into tight windows and is a running threat when he leaves the pocket. Lonergan is not afraid of contact and showcased brilliant accuracy in his junior year at Brookwood. He has proven himself as a decision-maker against some of Georgia's top competition, posting a 32-3 touchdown to interception ratio last fall. He's in line to be the next electric signal-caller to emerge from this state.
